Grape Republic
Yamagata, Japan
Established in 2017 in Yamagata prefecture, northeast Japan, Grape Republic practices organic farming to overcome the warm and humid climate challenges. Their main grape variety, Delaware, with pink skins, yields both white and amber wines. Using wild yeast and minimal intervention, Grape Republic crafts wines made from 100% grapes, expressing the essence of Nanyo City's climate. Pesticide-free cultivation and natural fermentation highlight their commitment to sustainability. Amphora vessels play a central role in winemaking enhancing the natural flavors.
