Patrice Hughes Béguet
Jura, France
In 2009, Patrice and Caroline made the decision to leave Paris and return to Jura. They purchased vineyards on great terroir and set up a small winery under their house. Their vineyard, situated in Mesnay near Arbois, spans four hectares, primarily planted with Savagnin and Ploussard grapes. In 2013, they had a promising vintage as they embraced biodynamic practices, eventually obtaining certification with Demeter which complemented their existing organic certification. Patrice is highly experimental with winemaking, making use of extended macerations and egg-shaped barrels. The wines that we have this time are highly drinkable, fun and reflects the good nature of Patrice.
