Alex Craighead makes wines under two labels, Kindeli and Don. Situated in Nelson, at the upper end of New Zealand's South Island, Alex puts meticulous attention into making wines as sustainably as possible. After years traveling around the world working vintages in Barolo, Burgundy and Bordeaux, to name just a few, Alex started making his own wines after purchasing a small plot of land in this subregion of Upper Moutere. His vineyards are certified biodynamic with zero fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides used. Grapes are solely harvested by hand with winemaking done with no chemical or additives used.
