Talented winemakers, close friends and Pet Nat lovers Alwin & Stefanie Jurtschitsch and Martin & Anna Arndorfer, set out to collaborate on a "Pet Nat Only" project. The first bottle of Fuchs and Hase came in 2012, but after Alwin's travels to Australia, and Martin's travels to New York, they developed a much wider range of tasting experiences and a deeper understanding of Pet Nat. Using this wider knowledge and passion, they released their first “Volumes” from Weingut Fuchs and Hase from the 2015 vintage. All of the wines are refermented in bottle, starting from a more or less prolonged period on the skins, in order to extract the best and the most peculiar aromas of the grapes.
