Jean-Pierre Robinot
Loire Valley, France
Jean-Pierre Robinot, a wine lover from a young age, embarked on a legendary journey. He co-founded a bar in Paris dedicated to natural wines and started a renowned wine journal, 'Le Rouge et le Blanc.'
In the early 2000s, he returned to his childhood village in the northern Loire with his wife Noella to become a winemaker. The Robinots tend 7 hectares of vineyards across Jasnières and Coteaux-du-Loir appellations, practicing organic farming with infusions of wild plants for treatments. Fermentations occur in ancient limestone caves, sometimes lasting years. The wines age patiently in barrels, gaining unique energy and vitality. The Robinot legacy continues with his daughter, Juliette's interest in winemaking.
