VN is produced from seven local grape varieties: Garnatxa Negra, Ull de Perdiu, Sumoll, Queixall de Llop, Samsò, Garrut and Trepat. It is named after "vinel-lo," a style of low alcohol table wine made with grape pomace. The harvest is done by hand, and fermentation occurs with native yeasts. Afterward, the wine is aged for 7 months in stainless steel tanks before bottling with no added sulfur dioxide.
