Ravin des Sieurs Syrah
100% Syrah
This wine comes from a single parcel 45 year old vines of Syrah. It is split in half by a path that feudal lords used to walk along to discuss their daily missives. Hence the name. The soils are a mixture of clay, limestone and schist. One night of maceration, 50% whole-cluster, 50% destemmed. Fermented and aged in large concrete vats. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered with a small amount of sulphur added at bottling.
